POETICA was founded by a group of promising, cosmopolitan scholars in Japan in April 1974. Since then, POETICA has been highly reputed by researchers worldwide as a distinguished academic journal from Japan, covering mainly English linguistics, literature and culture. A wide variety of scholars, more than half of which are top researchers from outside of Japan, contribute their research to POETICA.

Until recently, the publication of POETICA had been hampered by delays. However, we are pleased to announce that this situation will change from 2005, as POETICA has found a new publisher, YUSHODO PRESS. No. 64 is now available. Back issues are available as well.

We would encourage former subscribers that have discontinued their subscription due to previous delays to re-activate their subscription from Yushodo Press. We would also like to take this opportunity to invite new readers to subscribe to POETICA.
